Highlights of Cruise, Christmas, and Everything Else

I'm excited about my Christmas present coming in soon that I bought from thinkgeek.com. It's a duo NES/SNES console that plays BOTH retro Nintendo and Super Nintendo games. Awesome, huh? I've been going crazy buying games but they are super cheap (only about $4-10 ea) so I figured why not.. I mean I'm using my Etsy earnings to pay for everything so it's not like it's coming out of my paycheck. I have 13 games coming my way (for now hehe) including 2 versions of Zelda, Return of the Jedi for SNES and a bunch of role playing games like Dungeons and Dragons and Dragon Warrior. Kevin is excited about the NES/SNES too, which makes things even more awesome. :) He asked me if I wanted a Wii and I said"screw the Wii, I want the original Nintendo." I've never really liked the Wii. I guess I'm one of the rare few on the universe that doesn't like it. haha. :)

I can't believe Christmas is next week. I finally finished Christmas shopping yesterday so I'm all set- just need to wrap everything. I am extremely bah humbug this year and didn't even send out cards, buy any Christmas-themed crap, or put up any holiday decorations. Kevin and I were too lazy to put up the tree so we don't even have that lol. There is no indication that a holiday is approaching in our house except for boxes everywhere from Kevin and I buying tons of sh*t for each other. Online shopping is the way to go I'm telling you. We tried going out shopping last Saturday and omg! I thought I was going to f*cking punch somebody in the face!! It was REALLY bad and I wasn't expecting Independence to be crowded like that.. Overland Park yes, but not Independence. Oh and then Kevin and I went to see 2012 (meh) later that night and some guy was clipping his toenails or something in the theater.. all we could hear is clip, clip, clip. And this group behind us kept talking almost the entire time. It was one of the worst movie experiences I've ever had lol. It was funny though. :D

I had a really good time on my cruise. Too good. It took me about a week to get back into the swing of things here and back to reality. I cried when I was leaving the ship because I didn't want to leave - I was having that much fun. :O I did miss Kevin a lot though and agreed that we are never going to travel without each other anymore hehe. It was just way too agonizing not having him there.

I was quite the social butterfly on the cruise. I was dancing and hanging out at the club every night, playing poker at the tables, taking line dancing classes, playing Name that Tune, drinking, playing Bingo, doing karaoke (twice), and even volunteered for a game show in front of about 100 people. I made a lot of new friends too!! It was so funny me and a few others made a "35 and Under Club." I was the recruiter hehe. I would literally go up to people who looked under 40 and asked if they wanted to join our club, and told them where we usually hung out. We had a little group of about 15-20 of us, haha, it was awesome (average age on the ship about 65 lol). I tried telling one couple I was actually kind of shy and they gasped in shock and told me there was no way I was. It's funny to me how such a cheerful, happy environment can bring me out of my shell, while other environments can stifle me and make me extremely quiet. I guess I adapt to my environment like a chameleon.

Everything else on the cruise was good times except the huge blow up we had between the three of us. Day 7 was when we all lost it and got in this huge screaming match. I ended up slamming the door and spending the next 3 days wandering around the ship by myself. Thankfully I had my friends to hang out with, but still it was a little awkward and put a huge dark cloud over the rest of the vacation. Note to self: no more family vacations - I'm pretty sure that was the last one. :) And also no more getting totally wasted.. my mom was saying how hurt she was when I walked out on her at the club and yelled at her when I was trying to read my book. I did? I have no recollection of either of those lol. Damn drinking and blackouts I'm telling ya.. I don't like that.

What else what else. Oh! Kevin and I went to Star Wars in concert last week here in KC. It was AWESOME!! But, for some reason I thought Power and Light was in Liberty?? lmfao!! It's right there in downtown KC!!! WTF I really need to lay off the alcohol!!

Oh and best Christmas present ever goes to my boss, who asked me what I wanted, and I told her a red stapler. So she got me a red Swingline stapler. Hahaha. Geeks FTW.
